Description: Located in downtown Louisville, Jefferson Community & Technical College is one of 16 two-year, open-admissions colleges of the Kentucky Community and Technical College System. JCTC was formed on July 1, 2005, when Jefferson Community College and Jefferson Technical College consolidated. The largest college in the Kentucky Community and Technical College System, JCTC is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools and can average around 15,000 students in a given semester. Aside from offering a wide range of academic and technical programs to prepare students to study for a four-year degree or to enter a career, JCTC also offers associate degrees, pre-baccalaureate education, and diploma and certificate programs in occupational fields. There are also opportunities for adult, continuing, and developmental education, as well as distance learning and customized training for business and industry.
