Description: With more than 10,000 students in 20 schools, Greater Clark County Schools is the largest of the three school systems in the county and counts as number 19 in the state. Among others, it serves families in the southern Indiana communities, of Utica, Nabb, New Washington, Charlestown, and Jeffersonville, the county seat. The system includes educators who have won the State Teacher of the Year award in conservation, art, and physical education, in addition to Counselor of the Year. Experiencing rapid growth, particularly in the eastern segment of the school district, Greater Clark County Schools offers a variety of courses and academic atmospheres for students at all academic levels. It is currently in the process of building a new Charlestown High School and renovating Jeffersonville High School and New Washington Middle/High School.
