Description: For more than half a decade this popular trade show and exhibition has chased away the winter blahs for many a sports enthusiast in the Derby City. Although the weather outside is cold and dreary, things always warm up at the Kentucky Exposition Center during the last part of January, when thousands flock to see the latest developments in outdoor sporting. A houseboat fest, kids’ casting demonstrations, and boating and fishing seminars are just some of the highlights. In addition, the Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife is always on hand to dole out fishing and hunting licenses. A recent—and very popular—addition to the event is the DockDogs performance.
