Description: Generally held each year during the third weekend in June, the Kentuckiana Pride Festival attracts people of all ages to the Belvedere overlooking the Ohio River in downtown Louisville. Considered the largest celebration of diversity and tolerance for the local LGBT community, the festival attracts nearly 10,000 annually. A live stage showcases regional and national talent and informational booths are set up to educate attendees about issues that affect the gay community. In addition, vendors offer arts and crafts, food and drink. There is no charge for admission; however, if you want to consume alcoholic beverages you will need to get a special identifying wristband. The festival usually kicks off at a Louisville bar with an official party two weeks prior to the gathering at the Belvedere and includes a parade and pagent.
