18. The Masters

City: Atlanta, GA
Category: Spectator Sports

Description: Few golfers would argue that The Masters is the country’s quintessential golf tournament. The tournament, started by golf legend and Georgia’s own Bobby Jones, is held each year in March or April at Augusta National Golf Club, 150 miles east of Atlanta in Augusta, Georgia. Past champions include legends and future legends of golf: Ben Hogan, Arnold Palmer, Jack Nicklaus, and Tiger Woods. Live TV coverage is on the USA network, with finals live coverage on CBS. If you don’t have tickets already, you can’t get them at the door. Augusta National Golf Club has very strict rules and a very long waiting list to get in and to get Masters tickets. In fact, the rights to buy tickets reportedly have been passed down in wills. But if you want to try, contact the club: (706) 667-6000.
