Description: The Hurricane Bar & Lounge is a great place to party with friends and to listen to good live music. On Mon nights there’s a Free Texas Hold ‘Em party. On Wed, Thurs, and weekend nights there’s live music, with an interesting assortment of bands. The place caters to a young crowd, some of whom are suits and ties and others of whom are in T-shirts and tank tops. The decor is casual, with a long wooden bar, a stage in the corner, and tables and chairs scattered about. There’s also an outdoor patio. The Hurricane Bar has a good selection of wines and beers. It’s a leave-your-cares-behind-and-just-have-fun type of place.

Description: The Palm Beach Light Opera Company is a recently formed theater company based in Palm Beach and dedicated to the preservation and performance of classic operettas. It’s a volunteer organization, and it gives talented singers and musicians in South Florida the opportunity to perform in these productions. The Palm Beach Light Opera Company’s premiere production, The Chocolate Soldier, was performed in January 2009. One of the shows staged in the most recent season was Naughty Marietta, by Victor Herbert.
