Spectator Sports - Miami, Florida

Spectator Sports

There’s no shortage of spectator sports in Miami so it’s understandably difficult to know where to start, especially with the presence of big-name teams such as the Heat, Hurricanes and Dolphins. Aside from those looming professional teams, you can also show your local spirit by attending a college-level baseball, basketball, or football game, which are just as fun to watch as the professionals but tickets are a lot cheaper. While you’re in town be sure to catch a NASCAR race at the Homestead Miami Speedway, or bundle up for some Panthers hockey action at the Bank Atlantic Center. For a change of pace, Miami is also home to some offbeat sports such as jai alai (you have to see it to get it) and horse racing for those who aren’t football or basketball fans.
