Description: Founded in 1954 as an elementary school, Arlington Country Day School added a high school in 1995. The school is known for its small classes, from preschool through grade 12. In 2003, 37 of the school’s 52 graduates earned either academic or athletic scholarships to colleges or universities. Despite its small student population, ACDS has a powerhouse of a basketball program. The school’s varsity team has been ranked among the top high school teams in the country.

Description: Located on a sprawling campus across the St. Johns River from Metropolitan Park, Bishop Kenny was founded in 1952 and remains one of Jacksonville’s more respected private schools. A four-year Catholic preparatory school with 1,600 students, Bishop Kenney instills strong Catholic ethics alongside a rigorous academic program. More than half the school’s 84 faculty members have master’s degrees.
