Description: Built in 1909, this is a local landmark as well as the city’s finest hotel. It offers old-style grandeur and is famous for the stained-glass canopy in its huge mezzanine. Robert Frost and Louis Armstrong are among its past guests. Its 160 lavishly decorated, Victorian-style rooms are divided between the historic older section of the hotel and the new wing.
