Description: If Father Junipero Serra had built a really fancy mission to impress the folks back home in Spain, it might have looked like this. Rancho Caymus, a couple blocks east of Highway 29 on Rutherford Cross Road (aka Highway 128), carries off the hacienda motif flawlessly, from the adobe-looking stucco to the tile roof. The rough-hewn white oak and pine beams were salvaged from an 80-year-old barn in Ohio; the parota wood chairs, tables, and dressers are from Guadalajara; and the wool rugs and wall hangings were made by indigenous Ecuadorians. A central, tiled courtyard brims with flowers and small trees. Most of the 26 nonsmoking units have fireplaces and a split-level layout, and 5 of them have kitchenettes. Continental breakfast is included.
