Description: The swap meet is held 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. each Saturday and Sunday and on holiday Mondays at this Oceanside location. Treasures to trash are found here. There’s new and used merchandise, and bargaining is encouraged by many of the regular vendors. This swap meet is said to be one of the biggest in Southern California. Most Insiders agree that it’s definitely one of the largest in North County. Admission is 75 cents on Saturday and $1.50 on Sunday.

Description: Located in the historic Gill Building, which was the Oceanside city hall in the 1920s, the museum features local and international art. Its rotating exhibits include traditional paintings in watercolor and oil as well as glass, weaving, pottery, sculpture, and even furniture. The museum is open Tuesday through Saturday 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Sunday 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. Admission is $5.00.

Description: Located in the old Oceanside city hall, the museum sponsors musical performances, including chamber music concerts, in addition to garden parties, an annual Mardi Gras brunch, and other activities. Admission prices vary. Performances are usually held in the afternoon. The museum itself is open from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday, 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. Sunday.
