Description: Angelo’s has been a favorite beach restaurant hangout for Insiders since the mid-1970s and continues to serve up great big burgers and mountains of homemade fries for about $5.00. The quality and price are hard to beat. This is a no-frills burger joint (that starts the day with large breakfast burritos and other morning specials). You order at the counter and spread your food on plastic tables. You can dine inside or outside. The gyros sandwiches are excellent and under $5.00. Hungry for a giant hot pastrami sandwich? Angelo’s is your place. Try the homemade onion rings and zucchini strips, deep-fried but cooked in cholesterol-free corn oil. Sure, you can’t eat this way all the time, but, hey, once in a while is fun, and doubly so if you’re on vacation, it’s the middle of the week, or you need good fast food. All locations are open daily for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
