Description: The fairgrounds are just off Third Street in Napa as it approaches the Silverado Trail. There are about 75 motor-home spaces in this recently renovated facility, and restrooms and showers are on-site. A laundry and a market are close by. Pets are permitted on leashes. Note that Town & Country is closed to campers for the latter half of July and most of August.

Description: Designed by golf legend Johnny Miller, this course opened in 2004 following an extensive makeover of the property. It’s an 18-hole, par 72 course running 7283 yards and dotted with oak trees, creeks, vineyards, and wildlife, making it one of the most scenic courses you will find in this region. Because of its attraction to wild creatures, a canine team patrols the grounds to shoo the Canada geese off the greens. The dogs even have their own cart, marked “Geese Patrol.” Green fees are $55 weekdays, $70 on Friday, and $85 on Saturday, cart included. Sundays and holidays are $70. Twilight fees and senior rates are $30 to $60.

Description: With John F. Kennedy Memorial Regional Park and the Napa River to the west and the open spaces of Napa Valley College to the north, this is a nicely placed 18-hole, par 72 course that runs about 6730 yards. Fees range from $33 to $43. A cart is an additional $13 per person. Ask about the reduced senior rates. Napa Golf Course is easy to walk but quite difficult to shoot.
