Anyone ride the Rock Hill Express 82X to Uptown? How is it? I'm considering it as gas prices are going up again and fast...

I rode it for a year when I worked in Uptown. I no longer work Uptown so it's not an option, but I'd do it again if I could. I used to take the 77X from Huntersville to Uptown as well. Most people sleep, read, or listen to their IPOD. It's much more relaxing than pumping your brakes for 30 minutes. The only downside is the loss of flexibility in staying late hours, but if you can plan around that, I'd highly recommend taking a CATS express bus.

Thanks for the info. I rode the train a few times from South Blvd a few times and it was nice. I called and they were real nice on the phone as well. I didn't realize you could just show up and pay in the morning and didn't need a pass beforehand.

I just started taking it. It takes about 10 minutes longer than driving and it does limit my flexibility but I do enjoy not having to deal with traffic. I'm buying 10 ride passes ($22 pre tax through my employer or $21 from the conseriege in the Overstreet Mall between the BOA building and the Hearst Tower). This gives me the option to drive in when I need to or have too in case I miss the bus.
