What a dumb ass. Where does he think he is, Pamplona? Glad he was identified and is being charged.

P.S. I was so rooting for the bison.

Not sure if it’s still there or not, but there was a white eraser board in dispatch at the sheriff’s office in Jackson. Every summer, somebody would make a scoreboard on it. Usually, it was something like BISON 3 TOURISTS 0 by the end of the summer.

LOL! Kinda hate to admit it, but my wife and I were rooting for the bison too. That clown not only disturbs the wildlife and puts his life in jeopardy, but also trains that big bison on how to get at others on foot. What's next? Jumping in front of big trucks on the freeway?

That clip made the big time, btw. I saw it on NBCs Today Show, another network show, then Denver News 9. (We spent most of our Thursday/Friday "weekend" watching TV.)

I have been to Yellowstone 3 times, and every time, I have seen somebody make a good run at a Darwin Award. The best one was the traffic jam where I asked an onlooker why the crowd of people were running over the top of that hill. He told me they were running to get pictures of a female grizzly with two cubs someone told them was up there...

Seeing people walk right up to bison bulls guarding the herd to get close pictures must be routine. I have seen it every time I was there.

I saw a group of men and women beyond old enough to know better closing with and trying to touch a bull elk and two cows in a local preserve a few years ago. I yelled to them to back off, give the animals some room, and they yelled back to mind my own business. I waved, said "It's your funeral" and left. Called the sheriff to let them know what was up, the dispatcher laughed and said it was nothing new, they would send a deputy by there as soon as they could. There is no accounting for people...

No more whiskey for that man! Him bad news everywhere he goes. On the up side, being in jail and sober is probably the safest place for him, all other humans, and even the wildlife. You know you are a pure nut when you gotta be held in jail so the wildlife are safe....
