Back in the 1960's there was a commercial for old songs. My mother heard my friend and I singing the songs. "Don't sit under the Apple Tree" was one of the songs, we sang the words correctly. When my mother heard us sing, "You Won't Wither the One You Love," she broke out in laughter and told us the words were, "You always Hurt the One You Love!"
