Oh my, I am so literally laughing out loud at these! Burritos, head lice, burdens of shed, towels!

Thanks for some great chuckles, and keep me coming!

I can see clearly now the rain is gone,
I can see all icicles in my way.

Icicles? The lyric is Obstacles! Who knew?

Back in the 1960's there was a commercial for old songs. My mother heard my friend and I singing the songs. "Don't sit under the Apple Tree" was one of the songs, we sang the words correctly. When my mother heard us sing, "You Won't Wither the One You Love," she broke out in laughter and told us the words were, "You always Hurt the One You Love!"

My two year old niece used to sing:
"My four faces are addicted to love"
"Might as well face it, you're addicted to love"

I heard:

"I called her up, on the dry phone"

and was wondering... wtf is a dry phone. I asked my friend and learned:

" I called her up, on the drive home"

And the classic song for this thread......(one innocent word got hit by the censor)
Mairzy Doats

I know a ditty nutty as a fruitcake
Goofy as a goon and silly as a loon
Some call it pretty,
others call it crazy
But they all sing this tune:

Mairzy doats and dozy doats
And liddle lamzy divey
A kiddley divey too, wouldn't you?
Yes! Mairzy doats and dozy doats
and liddle lamzy divey
A kiddley divey too, wouldn't you?

If the words sound *****
And funny to your ear,
A little bit jumbled and jivey
Sing "Mares eat oats
And does eat oats
And little lambs eat ivy"

Oh! Mairzy doats and dozy doats
And liddle lamzy divey
A kiddley divey too, wouldn't you?
A kiddley divey too, wouldn't you?
