We are coming to visit Hendersonville after an absence of three years. Are there any new restaurants we should try in the area? We like all types of cuisine.
See link below for sone of my favorite restaurants in the area. None of these are new, however. Arabella may have opened since you were here last. There is a new fast-food restaurant - Dario’s (much better than most, IMO) in Flat Rock. Their chicken souvlaki wrap is very good.
There's a new place called Claywood that features wine and whiskey paired with artisan charcuterie boards that has been getting good reviews. It opened last month on 7th Ave in Downtown Hendersonville. https://claywoodnc.com/menu/

We've considered going here. I think it's more of a wine/whiskey place with limited food offerings. Appears to be pretty pricey. We'll probably try it at some point though. I like the idea; I would think a wine bar would do really well here. We have a multitude of breweries..
As I'm sure you can guess, probably more places have closed than opened since you were here last and some of the new ones will be food trucks. Haus Heidelberg and The Loft are both slated to be torn down and as of now have not secured new locations so go while they are still here if you are a fan. Here are a few restaurants new in the last 3 years - just a list, not necessarily recommendation!
In Flat Rock, Jesse Roque of Never Blue has opened Blue Ruby - breakfast brunch, lunch.
Verri's Italian has replaced Mona Lisa - same owners as Brooks Tavern
Nora's has moved from Asheville Highway to Barnwell St
Indian Aroma is new in the space where Renzo's was
Elevations Chop House
Orchard Bar and Grill - partially owned by owner of DLK

Love Never Blue so will likely try Blue Ruby. We like Brook's Tavern. Not sure how much emphasis to place on the reviews of Verri's Italian (we have not been there yet), but there are some less than favorable reviews online; OP may want to read. We have been to Indian Aroma for their lunch buffet. To us, it was ok. Not planning to go back. Have passed Elevations Chop House several times in the last couple of weeks on way to Asheville. Beautiful setting, quite a way out from downtown Hendersonville. Also, pricey and limited menu; probably won't go there as current menu doesn't do anything for us. I've heard DLK has good wings. Don't know anything about Orchard Bar and Grill.
