I know little about his pre-political life, but it’s obvious he either comes from money, or has people with money fawning all over him because he is a politician. It’s hardly surprising.
There may be some karma in play given Cape Coral FL was largely either flattened and/or underwater after Hurricane Ian. Given the price of the home in question would guess it is (or was) waterfront.
Isn’t there some type of government regulation/rule that requires offices to remain open through the end of the term? Is there no oversight on things like this? It would seem to me this would be important to his constituents. Is he finishing his term out? If not, he should resign. Doesn’t some of our federal taxes go toward the running of government offices?
Cawthorn's new FL 'rez' is on a canal; one of the hundreds/thousands? in Cape Coral...
We have several friends that live full time in CC: the labyrinth of canals is part of the draw, though the canals can range from nearly stagnant to decent in/out flow, and obviously give some access to outer waters/The Gulf.
No RE expert, but the $1 Mil+ is a bit overpriced, esp due to the sq ft, but the boat and turn key furnishings are a slight draw. And, if it is in good shape post Ian, that is an advantage vs some SFHs in the area that may have been damaged.
I suspect C does the FL rez deal which puts a cap on RE taxes increase, knocks ~ $50Gs off assessed valuation and of course FL has no state income tax...he will be probably be able to absorb some of his PAC dough for various 'needs'.
As for his 'office(s)' here, I doubt he has many clamoring for his 'attention' as he ghosts his soon to be over term, as he seemed to care little to none for any real/substantive issues whiel he was in the House.
