It's my understanding that the Aldi stores with nearby Lidls are being remodeled first, but eventually almost all will get it. Gastonia is being remodeled right now. Belmont & Shelby already got it. After the remodel the stores will have considerably more products.

Probably the next round. I saw a list of NC towns to get a Lidl online for this year. The current crop of Lidls will open this summer in NC, SC, & VA. They'll open in MD, DE, SE PA, & South Jersey later this year. It will be 100 stores. They'll open 100 next year.

I suspect that the 2nd group will pick up places that they may have missed and an extension of their footprint. Aldi will continue with the remodels, so it will be a state of flux. Lidl needs the expansion to get the best prices. Have you seen a Lidl, yet? The shell is up in Shelby & last week they they put the asphalt on the parking lot.
