For vacation spots I love going to Mar Don/Potholes near Moses Lake. I also love the Northeast side of the state in the Colville Indian Reservation. I am surprised it isn't a big resort area yet! Birch Bay is always fun too. For day trips, I love going to Seattle whenever I can.

When I was a kid our favorite place was Ilwaco on the coast. The San Juan islands are awesome too. Closer to home Deception Pass is an awesome area to spend a daytrip at.

Sandy, what would be your suggestion for a great Leavenworth German restaurant. I especially love spaetzle! We're hoping to spend the day there while we're in Washington in July. Any place that sells German pretzels? Thank you!
