Offhand, Prosser. Warm, even hot, dry summer, grey skies a lot of winter, agricultural economy, few small businesses, 2 car dealers (GM, Ford), not a whole lot going on most of the time, they have the Balloon Rally, Wine and Food Fair, the whole area has long been mostly orchards, with some dry-land wheat being grown in the Horse Heaven Hills, although there is a growing shift to wine grape production.

How's that?

I had sort of picked "the" town but this does sound interesting, and familiar (I'm originally a small-town girl). Thank you so very much. I'm going to go check this out some more.
