Hey, I lost track. Are you stil looking at the job in Colville?

Yes, I am, but I don't know if the guy is still going to hire someone or not. I'm interviewing on the phone in a few minutes for a job that is east of Phoenix. Also looking in to one in San Antonio, TX. I'm all over the place!
You sure are! No moss growing on you! Well, best of luck, elko!

Yeah - the east of PHX interview job didn't go well for me. The questions they asked (that had nothing to do with the job) stumped me such that my answers came a bit slow, I think. They said their candidate would start July 1st and that they'd call me and let me know.

The San Antonio job already has a candidate chosen. Colville is dead in the water. If I could retire now I sure would!

Sorry about Colville, it would have been fun to meet with our spouses somewhere in Washington for coffee.

I know, I'm bummed too about that.

Hello all! Not sure if you remember me, but I just wanted to drop by with updates It's happening! We close on our new home in April and we will be moving to Mason County, just south of Shelton. We have purchased a manufactured home on two open and secluded acres surrounded by trees at Lake Isabella. I appreciate all the help some of you gave me here in the forum. I admit my heart still lies with Forks despite the negative reviews. I'm still fascinated by a town said to be surrounded by rain forest, and the proximity to La Push which I think is the loveliest scenery I've ever set my eyes upon. Anyway, I had to consider the lack of shopping, medical care, and the apparent poor resale value of the properties there. In the end we chose Mason County because there are absolutely no limitations on the number of pets you may have, and as you may recall we have a lot of critters. Our pets are elderly so the plan is to stay for a few years while we look around the rest of area and perhaps when the pets are gone, we'll move to Clallham or Kitsap County unless we become enthusiastic about Mason. I still have rain forest fantasies where the forest edge drops down to meet a wild salty beach on a rainy day without a person in sight, and only the sound of the waves. This is high on my bucket list Thanks to all of you for your help!

So apparently it's unofficially true that Clallam county etc are pretty much pet unfriendly, these are some of the small things I wish I would have known before moving out here...
