My dentist office's receptionist says there is. I have a long wait for an appointment. I started with this dentist during the pandemic as my previous dentist retired, so I'm not familiar with them.

I'm just curious if anyone else has experienced this. I'm on the Olympic Peninsula & since the pandemic I have lost my PCP, a specialist, the veterinarian, the dentist, so nothing surprises me anymore.

It wouldn't surprise me. The pandemic was hard on a lot of those businesses!

Yes, my dentist is in Issaquah and has had the same problem In fact, both my wife and I got our cleanings done by the actual dentist once in 2022. I just went on Tuesday and it was the same one I had in 2021, but she is the only one still there. Before that we had 3 different ones. We also have a new receptionist since I was there 6 months ago.

It's not just Washington, it's everywhere. The lack of skilled trade/technicians is literally becoming a crisis in this country. Hold on, because it's going to get bumpy.

People in work/trades in high demand are able to pick and choose where they work and live right now. Just a few years ago, WA was purported to be one of the best states to live/retire in. Since then, it's come in anywhere from 22nd-46th of the 50 states depending on whose article and how various aspects are valued. Washington is overpriced, crime, drug, and homeless ridden, and is not attractive to those with options.

The reason is obvious - they went woke. You know it's bad when a huge chunk of Eastern Washington territory wants to succeed and become a separate state to this day.

Eastern Washington: Most likely to secede ever since 1861

Um, no, and neither do I want to. What are you trying to establish here?
