Another interesting article from InvestigateWest.

I've long been frustrated at the opaque nature of our government communications. Even our city hall meeting records are written such that one has to be an insider -- along with an entire day to click through all the layers and decipher the references, to simply understand what was discussed. I am glad IW is bringing this to light.

"The Public Records Act requires city councils and police departments, county commissions and sheriffs, state agencies and elected officials to release documents like calendars, memos, phone records, emails and text messages. It’s the law that allows anyone to go and read the emails of Attorney General Bob Ferguson, Gov. Jay Inslee and other statewide elected officials.

But even the highest court in the state can’t stop legislators from hiding documents they don’t want to show the public."

I wonder how many here have been stymied as I have, in their attempts to "noodle out" what's happening in our state and local government.
