Tacoma Arson (Bellevue, Ruston: street, state, police)

Quite alarming, the rise in arson:

"From June 1 to Aug. 1, a period of a little more than 60 days, police say the city of Tacoma had 82 arsons. In 2020, the number of arsons during the same length of time was 28."

NINE fires set last night (1/25).

7:48 p.m.: 600 block of S Trafton St in Tacoma
8:20 p.m.: 200 block of S 7th Street in Tacoma
8:27 p.m.: 600 block of S State Street in Tacoma
11:05 p.m.: 5100 block of N Pearl Street in Tacoma
12:06 a.m.: 5300 block of N Bennett Street in Ruston
1:24 a.m.: 4700 block of N Orchard Street in Tacoma
2:20 a.m.: 4600 block of N Gove Street in Tacoma
3:20 a.m.: two fires in the 3700 block of N Cheyenne Street in Tacoma

Even 82 is a horrific number for arsons, I hope they catch this perp, and soon!

Bellevue had similar problem in 2005 with 11 fires over a few weeks, but in the last 6 months had only 1 arson.
