We are new to the Olympia area. I am looking for a nice place for my daughters to continue their horseback riding lessons (Western). Any recommendations?

Good morning! I am asking around on your behalf… Unfortunately my own Rolodex of good riding instructors and programs is a couple decades old.
But hopefully some of my current friends and clients can give us the names of some good current people and farms :-)

Some success! I'm sorry for how long I've been out of boarding and showing, I had to ask around for who is giving lessons!
I did find out that
Phyllis Ryan is now teaching at Slater Stables, just south of Tumwater, on Tilley Road. Phyllis has been around forever was a former Arabian competitor and show judge, and is great at teaching, whether students want to show, or just ride. As I recall, she has a nice way with kids and horses. The daughter of a good friend of mine schooled with her for years... Western and English. Phyllis used to run one the larger facilities in the area but now I think is semi retired and just teaching out of Slater. She does have her own school horses. I don't have a number for Phyllis, but I did find one for the stables... Call (253) 341-1177
Also found that
Angela Hoke Greenshields teaches out of Evergreen Valley Riding Center in Olympia. I don't know her, but a client and friend of mine has invited Angela to hold clinics and workshops at her farm several times and likes her very much. Not sure whether she has her own school horses but you could hopefully find out. Again, don't have her number but could look up the number for the barn: (360) 481-1381
