The problem is the Legislature passed a law because some actor overdosed in New York. The law basically made Doctors real leery of prescribing pain pills.

I had a simple shoulder pain right before hunting season. The doctor gave me three day supply of pain pills, which I nursed for a week. I only used the pain pills at night so I could sleep.

I called and asked for another three day prescription and he refused to fill it. Wanted me to come in and try physical therapy and a bunch of other stuff. My point was the pain was slowly going away. I just needed the rest from the pain pills. Anyway, he refused. The pain went away after a couple of weeks.

So people with needs for pain pills are now being penalized because a well known idiot killed himself in New York. I lived with a person with chronic pain for a long period of time. It is not pretty. Pain is horrible and affects your body and your mental state.

I am still mad at the Legislature and Governor for passing the legislation. This in a state where I can go buy marijuana legally, but cannot get pain medication when I need it!!

The good news is that my pain issue was only temporary.

If I was in chronic pain.....I would move from Washington.
