Hi everyone. I'm planning a January trip to Washington and would love to get some snowboarding in while I'm there. I plan on flying into SeaTac, renting a suv and driving up to Stevens Pass for a few days in January. Snowboard there for a few days and drive back to Seattle and stay in a hotel for a few days to roam around the city and see the attractions and eateries. My question-Does anyone know if the rental companies allow snow chains to be put on a rented SUV? My experience in different states were that putting chains on a rental car could damage the vehicle, so the renter is strictly forbidden. BUT, i need an suv (4wd) to get into the mountains and sometimes snowchains are required beyond a certain point. I was hoping rental companies in WA would be more accepting??
