I will be relocating to the Seattle area in July with my boyfriend moving from North Carolina. We are looking for houses to rent and have looked into Mukilteo, Edmonds, and Lynnwood areas as he will be working in Everett. We are having difficulty trying to find websites with rental housing listed. Do we need to use a property management company to find rental houses? We are interested in houses rather than apartments. Any additional advice on these areas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

It's definitely easier when you are here. These days rental houses go fast, so many owners will simply put a sign in the window and get applicants the first day. My son rents a nice house in Edmonds for $1,400. It was bought for a flip, so completely remodeled inside, but then the prices dropped so the owner decided to rent it for a few years.

For that in Snohomish you might get a small house on acreage, it's much more rural with farms and horse properties, while Lynnwood is more working class suburbs. Edmonds is probably the highest price of those but all are way below Seattle and the Eastside for house rentals. have you tried realtor.com?
