We moved here from Anchorage, Alaska and live in Salmon Creek area. I need to get extensive bridge work done and looking for recommendations for a dentist with expertise in doing complex dental bridges (more than 3 adjacent teeth). The Best of Clark County 2021 in Colombian suggests Cascade Dental at 16703 SE McGillivray Blvd. I will appreciate recommendations for dentist with expertise in complex teeth bridge work. Thanks.

Have you gotten any recommendations? There are a bazillion dentists around here judging from how many dental office signs I see in all the local strip malls and commercial developments but I can't recommend any because we have Kaiser dental insurance and use the Kaiser Cascade Park dental office on Mill Plain.

It is good you are asking for recommendations as I have found that many new practices are structured to prioritize an ongoing income stream rather than individual patient care. Staff changes have pushed me back into the market looking for a new provider and have found it very challenging to screen practices so after over ten years with one I am starting over.

A bit further out.... The sole practitioner at Orchard Hills dental (Washougal) is quite skilled and thorough. I have them fix the damage done from corporate dentists, but have had no extensive processes done there. I would trust their referrals. We used Dr. ostenson when in Vancouver, but iirc, his son took over the practice.

Washougal is far for us from Salmon Creek (actually Felida, a bit farther out). For regular dental cleaning work, we would not be too concerned. But extensive dental bridge work is quite complex and expensive. I did get good work done in Alaska decades ago but that needs to be redone because of an accident. Hence I am asking for recommendations where somone in this group may have personal experience.

Personally.... I would be heading to Thailand for a winter medivacation. Typically 1/10th USA medical / dental costs. uSA or UK trained... Much of Europe has been going to Thailand for 50 yrs to get tuned up. Some of their hospitals have Resort wings for accompanying family to come and enjoy. I often book RT flights to Thailand for under $800. Something to look into, but a tad far to go for some. Great place to enjoy a very comfortable recovery, with lots of side trips.

Sound very exciting and would have loved to do it. Unfortunately, my wife is not able to sit on a plane longer than 4 hours due to physical limitations, so I could not do it alone.

Still hoping to get some recommendations from this forum. I am also checking with other contacts. My current bridge has chipped and has cracks, but not an emergency, so I can wait for a couple of months to replace them with a new one. Meanwhile, I am also checking if some dentist can repair that temporarily till I do permanent fix.

Call New Horizons and get a referral for your specific needs. I trust them too (as well as previous). Fortunately it seems no one here has had extensive bridge work. The dentists I recommended for referrals have all given me excellent care and each have referred me to others when needed. It's worth a call....

Perhaps join up with the Nextdoor app. I see people asking for recommendations all the time. I'll be hunting for a dentist very soon myself. Way overdue!
