I loved that show as a kid.

Shatner is very much alive. He recently went into space (I think it was actually suborbital) on one of Bezo's rockets. Maybe the oldest man to go that high?

Speaking of high...

Was the rebooted series cancelled? I only saw 1 season of it.

It appears that it was renewed in 2019, and then of course Covid hit. And who knows if Zachary Quinto is going to be the next host. He is pretty busy.

An episode of In Search of... touched on the mysterious abilities of Edward Leedskalnin.

Many years later, Leonard Nimoy again provided the narration for a short documentary on Leedskalnin's masterwork, Coral Castle.

^^^ Great episode. I liked pretty much all of the In Search of Episodes. Really takes me back so many years.... Is it not funny how thinking about watching certain programmes earlier in your life can really transport you back to another time and place in your mind?

Why hasn't anyone reversed engineered Coral Castle?

Everything done there is explainable. In the past several of us have posted videos showing how huge stones are easily moved in many different ways without modern machines. Youtube is your friend.

Moved by one slight malnourished man working alone, doing everything from quarrying the rock, carving it, putting it in place, and then moving them to a different site later?

Edward Leedskalnin did publish some books that claimed to demystify some of his beliefs in science and one can read them free online if they want to. AFAIK nobody has ever made any practical sense of them.

Regardless of how he did it, I agree that the fact this little skinny man did it all by himself is extremely fascinating. The fact that no one really saw him do it in detail adds greatly to the mystery, whether he used conventional known methods or not.
