I've searched the threads and couldn't find what I was looking for. So here goes: I was working for one company for almost two years and interviewing for county jobs. I got hired and quit first job then started second job (who told me I would be paid after two weeks) only to realize after a week that the supervisor who told me that was wrong and that I wouldn't be paid for a full month. I was living in a motel room and had no money to pay the room. I had to leave my job and the city to go stay with family. Will this be considered good cause to quit as far as California unemployment is concerned ? Thanks

It can be, but I doubt very much that you had the foresight to lay the ground work, collect the proof, and do a proper good cause quit.

Can you prove you were told 2 weeks by that supervisor and it was wrong?
Can you prove it is in-fact a full month before you will be paid?

Can you show an attempt to find housing (to include seeking a loan from your parents) that would not result in you having to quit gainful employment?
