I can't stand it when teams share information to help each other. I lost count, but I think half of them got the word scramble from one team. It's like they forget it's a competition.
Well the one sharing that info was doing so to line-jump. It made sense.
They're supposed to go back to booking their own flights. Even before the charter planes they were usually on prearranged flights together.
For episode 1 the 2 flights were already reserved for them. That’s the way the first leg traditionally has been.
We’ll see how it goes for future legs. I hope we see the old airport drama. All sorts of things can happen. Teams miss early flights because of their later start times. Teams miss early flights because the early flight is full. Teams get different flights because of how they book flights: go to the airport, go to a travel agent, call on their taxi driver’s phone, etc. Teams miss early flights because they’re just not good at finding good flights. Teams get lucky with standby tickets. All sorts of possibilities we haven’t seen for a while.
The preview of next week, shows some airport problems so we will see. Didn't mind the couple that were eliminated, they were not very interesting. I wonder if the Asian couple will still do well if they no longer have a language advantage. Going around the market was crazy. I could not have done that.
After this week's episode started with clips of Victor and Jocelyn relishing in their two first place finishes and their chances of winning, it was no surprise that they had a pretty steep fall.
The jockeying for flights at the beginning of the episode was a nice return to pre-Covid races. While there was some shuffling around because two travel agents in the same office had different luck with flights and the earliest flight was delayed, the scheduled times for the road block equlaized the teams for the most part.

It was shock to see them come in last, they had done so well in past episodes, but I was glad they took a positive spin on it all. I loved the lady at the fish market, she was so cute when she told them congratulations. I hated seeing the live fish, ugh.
Still liking most of the teams so far. I'm probably not going to be able to handle the emotion of Rob and Corey if they don't make it to the end. You could tell that Rob was pretty emotional at the pit stop this week after they fell behind and managed to get right back to the middle of the pack. Someone was definitely cutting onions in my living room. They're a really easy team to root for.
Still don't understand teams getting upset when another team won't help them out. I know it's just part of the drama since it was obvious that the U-turn was coming up. It's almost like they forget it's a competition.
The Father/daughter team, just because the daughter is constantly saying come on to her dad, gets on my nerves.
