The Kenny Rogers / Mr. Marbles episode where Jerry & Kramer switch apartments.
The non-fat yogurt episode where Jerry cusses @ a cussing child and Elaine breaks a chair.
The Elaine mannequin, the Elaine tv guide stalker... When Elaine thinks she's dating a black guy. Elaine dancing. Elaine poppy seed junkie episode.... etc.
The episode where Puddy tells Elaine she's going to Hell. & GERMS! Puddy, period.
The episode where Kramer has on some really tight jeans and walks around like Frankenstein.
The Aids Walk / Ribbon.
The Wig Master / Pimp.
The Merv Griffin Show.
The one where Jerry dates a girl that looks just like him and George gets all weird.
I believe "The Contest" is widely considered the best.
My personal favorite is "The Little Kicks" - but more for George's storyline vs. Elaine's dancing. And of course, the iconic exchange between Elaine and Frank at the end.
The episode where Elaine is invited to her boss' son's bar mitzvah, takes a crappy gift, and the kid takes his "today I am a man" schtick a little too seriously. And then uses the explanation of what disappointing gifts he received as a scapegoat explaining his sense of entitlement. When it is mentioned that she has subsequently been invited to 7 more bar mitzvahs, that just really tickled my funny bone. And then every man she went to seeking solace, tries to put the move on her too.
The Soup Nazi is also a personal favorite, to the point where in the final episode when the prosecutor calls Yev Kassem to the witness stand, I knew the second he mentioned the name, who that was gonna be.....And I think that is the apex of the entire series. Coffee spraying out both nostrils!!
It would have taken some reworking, but I've always thought the backwards episode, which was the second to last episode, would have been great as the finale, right down to the last scene, with Jerry saying, "Don't be ridiculous. We're neighbors, what's mine is yours" and Kramer says, "Oh, really".
