James Caan is one of my favorite actors, he made every movie he was ever in better than it should have been and Brian's song is no exception.
Yes! Thank you for the James Caan mention. Billy Dee Williams played Gale Sayers. Joy Piccolo did a great deal of charity work in her late husband ‘s honor for many years.
The Boy With Green Hair! That’s going back a ways. Remember a movie starring Sally Field in which she hears her daughter being murdered while on the phone with her. Don’t think it was ever in the theatres but that was the first time I realized that she was an exceptional actress.

“The Boy With Green Hair” was made for the big screen in the late 1940s.
Boy in the Plastic Bubble - another good one. I remember as a little kid being a bit bown away by John Travolta's acting, since all I knew him from was his male bimbo Barbarino character. This role no doubt had a lot to do with him getting his breakout role in Saturday Night Fever.
some that i remember; sybil, dawn portrait of a teenage runaway, born innocent, sarah portrait of a teenage alcoholic, maybe i'll come home in the spring, sunshine was my favorite and i still have the book too, go ask alice, (have that book too), and of course the boy in the plastic bubble!
all i can think of right now. but oh boy, the memories of watching these movies of the week...!!! our whole family would sit together to watch a lot of these.
I know this is off topic, but Rich Man Poor Man was probably my best ever tv watching experince. Ed Asner was simply amazing in his role as the father, to this day I have no idea how he didn't end up with a much more substantial movie acting career. I can only surmise that it was by choice.

He had a very prolific career on TV.
