Good episode. I liked the Fitz/Leopold thing. I like those episodes where right/wrong isn't so black and white. Reminded me of the Deep Space 9 episode "In the Pale Moonlight"

Yes indeedy. Also, I hate to say this, but I agreed with Leopold(framework Fitz). Plus, I was getting tired of Daisy not having her powers.
The writers don't know if the series is going to be renewed, so the season finale may also be the series finale.
Are they still filming for season 5, or is totally in the can? I thought it was in the can. If so, we can probably assume they don't kill anyone off before the last episode of season 5...just in case.

Multiple sites reported that the writers went in with the plan that the season finale has to be a possible series finale.
I think that was also the plan with the season 4 finale. After Brett Dalton and B.J. Britt made the goodbye tour in the Framework they ended with a nod to the Avengers post credit shawarma scene along with a tease that the unit was recruited to something like a S.W.O.R.D. When the renewal came down instead of having a tease of a possible future as the show finale we got the no its not SWORD, or whatever you imagined over the summer but a future Lighthouse story pod.
I'm betting that these new aliens are Skrull. Interesting that appear to have Tony (Candyman) Todd playing one.
That is my thought but I doubt the species will be named, especially since he is only one in a confederation of different aliens which includes Kree gangsters, at least in the near future. Just as they haven't named Ivanoff as MODOK Superior, even if he is giving that character's catch lines. This way even if he has been allocated to ABC a movie director can still use a different type of MODOK in the future
It is increasingly looking like they are going out with an Infinity War tie in. Not the main battle with the Avengers obviously but on different fronts like the other SHIELD bases fighting with Ward and Agent Hand after The Winter Soldier. So maybe it is why Disney gave ABC TV the offer that they could not refuse. There is another Avengers movie next year also should Disney want to trickle out tied in content in the run up to Avengers 4,
I do suppose Coulson can find something and then send a message to call the Avengers in like in Age Of Ultron but in the Infinity War trailers
Spoiler
even if the Avengers are not show in their first contact it still doesn't seem to go with that theory as Spider-Man and Dr Strange seems to be finding stuff out as it happens in real time.

I just watched "In the Pale Moonlight" on Hulu the other night and thought it was brillant.(I'm not sure if I saw that episode before.) Also, I always did like Garak who is one of those 'not so black and white' type of characters.
Also, I was a little bit disappointed with the Hydra connection on AoS because I would have liked it if they had really been stomped out and not only kind of stomped out, only to appear again in the show.
And I think it happened on the episode when Kasius made one of his human servants drink the black gooey stuff and it started bleeding from his eyes and he went into crazy-fight mode. And then Kasius drank it himself and also went into crazy-fight mode.(And those scenes were so gratuitous and pointless.) But now articles have been recently coming out about how it's been "rumored" that the show has been renewed for season 6.... Yawn!
For those of you who have seen Infinity War, I don't know how they can incorporate - or ignore - that movie.
Last week there was a slight mention of New York in passing but still ...
Any (non spoiler) thoughts?
