I am not on the side of her rapist and I believe he should get the MAXIMUM amount of time in prison for it.
I do not think she "lured him in" or any of that stuff.
What I scoff at and find disgusting in this case is the victim's completely minimalizing her own responsibility in this situation (NOT locking her door) and instead turning around and blaming/suing all and sundry who did not have anything to do with the actual rape and her sensationalizing this case for profit, all the while stating she has these extreme life stopping PTSD symptoms to gain maximum $$$ in a lawsuit, while her actions clearly belie her words. She is only making it harder for victims in the future to be believed who REALLY do suffer debilitating and paralyzing symptoms like that with her money hungry antics.
Sorry I think she is over dramatizing this horrible event so she can sue all these people and milk some money out. Just the way she says she feels scarred for life and cant get out and all. I mean she is making a case for the money that she can get out of this. Why not just let the kid pay for his crime. What does the the building and the Pizza place had to do with what happened?
And What that hell?? I will never fall asleep with the main door open! Even another tenant might come inside!
For all of you who are blaming the victim for leaving her door unlocked...... If you were home in the middle of a Spring day and had your windows open to let the fresh air in and some freak climbed in your window and raped a member of your family, would that be YOUR fault?
No, but it also wouldn't be mother nature's fault for having a nice day. But Ms. Graves would likely try and sue poor Mother Nature in your scenario.
And not attempting to troll....but saw the pics in the daily news....what kind of rape victim that is scared to go to the gym pose for pictures to be put on the front cover of the daily news? Also, was it always Ms. Graves? Or was there some type of 'change' along the way?

Someone is going to climb 7 floors Spider-Man style?? How will spiderman get through the child safety gates? Silly comparison.

I think that all of us would that they were crazy for leaving their doors unlocked, especially with a young child in her care.
I would have liked to been the detective in charge of that case,
Because too many holes in the story here. WHY was she conveniently drunk? WHY would a scrawny, pizza kid pick HER door out of 211 possibles? Do you think he would chance picking the wrong door of a construction worker's apartment?? He knows, it would be ugly for him if that happened.
I'm NOT blaming the vic, here but I AM suggesting there may have been cooperation between the kid and her... Most women are private about their fantasies, and fewer try to live them out but it DOES happen.
I think that these are valid questions, however I do think that the kid would have come forward with any information pertaining to any type of consent during this "tyrst." I mean, after all, he has nothing to gain by keeping it a secret and everything to lose by doing so.
That being said, I don't think she should gain a penny from any of this. The doorman (nor the building) can be held accountable for the actions of the behavior of guests who enter and exit the building all times. It would only be rational to expect that the tenents themselves would exercise a minimal degree for their own security by simply locking their doors. I also don't believe that the pizza parlor should she held accountable either, after all I don't think that there is any mention of a "16 year old rapist" as being on the menu with the delivery. His behavior was completely independent of the job. I mean what's next? Should we start suing the DA who charged him as a juvenile? Or how about the judge that did not sentence him for his past crimes? If not them, then how about the legislature in Albany who failed to create stricter laws for juveniles who commit crimes? It could go on forever.
