Good day to all. My wife and I are looking at relocating to Texas. We have been eyeing both Fort Worth and San Antonio. My question is in both cities which one has the best schools and opportunities for the Nursing Career Field?

Any opinion would be helpful and vital to us making a decision. Of course with anything it's all about jobs. So that will ultimately be the end all be all. But I wanted to know for each city which schools are good and worth while. Thanks.

The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio is in the Medical Center area of San Antonio. Abundance of apartments to choose from in the area as they do not offer dorms or housing on campus.
Jobs are plenty after graduation, many hospitals to choose from: Baptist, University Health System, Santa Rosa, Warm Springs rehab, Gonzaba medical group.
Lots of other stuff covered here: http://www.city-data.com/forum/san-a...index-san.html Good luck!

Never lived there so I have no clue. I'd recommend posting a question in the Fort Worth forum. http://www.city-data.com/forum/fort-worth/

LVN, RN, or BSN?

LVN:
Concorde, Dallas Nursing Institute

RN:
Tarrant County Junior College, Weatherford College, Hill College, North Central Texas College

BSN:
TCU, UT Arlington, Texas Woman's

Honestly, if you want to get into the big money in healthcare, be a Physical Therapy Assistant. Starting salary is more than a RN and approaching a BSN, and this is with just a 2-year degree!
