Hi all! We're looking to move from Utah to Texas. I'm especially looking for school districts that offer dyslexia programs included with their SpedEd programs. We are also Latter-Day Saints and would love to find areas where there's other members.

I think San Antone and Austin have Mormons because I think there are at least one or two storehouses for food in that area that I know that are owned and operated by the Mormon church so I think there would at least be some of yall there.I would also look at metro Dallas/Fort Worth and Houston. What is your budget for housing and what do yall do for a living?I have a hunch that El Paso could have more Mormons since its a western area but I just dont know.I also would not want to count on the public education system in El Paso so I would eliminate that one.I think your best options may be around the Dallas/Fort Worth/Arlington Metroplex/Houston/San Antone/ and Austin.I just dont know how big of a Mormon population there is in the state. What brings you to leave Utah for the Lone Star State???

There are LDS communities all over the state. That wont be an issue. Where do you want to be? What is your budget?

And if you're interested in San Antonio, for corn's sake don't call it "San Antone" a moniker as despised amongst SA natives as "Frisco" for those from San Francisco.

looking for a change in the political climate as well as better resources for our daughter's dyslexia. We've lived in San Antonio, so we're familiar with that area. Looking for some space, but not too far away so that there's not other kids around

Why do you not want other kids around?
First you start a thread about moving from UT to TX now you live in San Antonio?

They LIVED (past tense) in SA sometime in the past.

They don't want to be so far out that there aren't any kids around - i.e., they want to be close to other kids.
