It's too early to say but looking at the last few months it's starting to look like after 7 years of falling a bit behind now Houston may be catching up again. Remember that Houston did outpace Dallas from 2000 until about 2015 or so. But after an oil slump and Hurticane Harvey H-Town fell behind for a while. It's starting to look like that may be over now.
If I'm not wrong after looking at the BLS numbers for February I believe that Houston is ahead year over year in job growth. I'm also seeing a lot of layoffs in DFW. They ended last year very close in both population and jobs.

No not another Houston v Dallas thread.

DFW had an impressive number of beast mode years though. Just about 10 years.

But when these cities are not in beast mode they are still putting up huge numbers.
