This is great! I'm really into the paranormal and have been since I was a kid. I've had experiences with it pretty much all my life. I'm moving to Nashville this summer and I'm really excited to check out some of the spooky hot spots. I was also wondering if there were any schools in the the area or close to that offer a class on parapsychology.

The top four steps have a mysterious blood stain on them. People have tried to remove the stains, but to no avail. They always seem to return. A mysterious being haunts the area beneath the stairs at night!

Thanks for the great links. I found them fascinating. I had to force myself to get back to work and not keep reading. Judging by the website you sent me to there aren't many places in Tennesse that aren't haunted. Gotta love this stuff. It sure added some fun to my workday.

Years ago my sister used to work at the Read House and she "saw" the ghost on the 3rd floor. The ghost wears a long, whispy, white gown. She said some of the room service people would refuse to deliver to the 3rd floor because of the ghost. I've known other person who stayed at the hotel and when taking the elevator from their room it would sometimes mysteriously stop on the 3rd floor and they would feel a cold chill and see the ghost.

This is a great thread! I, too, love paranormal stuff! It is one of the reasons why I'm moving to TN, here in FL we don't have many ghosts hanging around.

The ghosts there are all retired. They spend all their time hanging around the cemetery talking to their old friends complaining that their kids never come to visit. They normally do their haunting before 5:00 pm so they can get a nap in afterwards. It's really hard to be afraid of a ghost who goes to bed before you do.

;-)

Here's a link to the story and photo of the stolen cemetery statue I mentioned in an earlier post. The photo isn't that good, the statue looks nicer than that.
