That article is so true. I mean imagine your insurance company you had for 10 years with no claims and all of a sudden you get a letter in the mail that they are dropping you for no reason because you are in a high risk area. Good luck trying to find a replacement. Or you get a premium increase letter which is just an incredible amount. I don't get it. for years the insurance companies just stock pile their premium payments, didn't have any major catastophes and then we get 1 or 2 years of bad storms and all of a sudden the companies can't pay the claims? What did they do with all the money those years where we didn't have terrible storms? And you know what's funny, i checked on the FL forum and there's still a lot of people who are planning a move here. I just hope they know what they're getting themselves into. So that is why so many of us are heading north. Just happens to be that TN is in the middle of North and South. and believe me, SC and NC are the hotspots too for Floridians.
