I was in the Memphis area for a long time. I didn't see a lot of rolling hills.

It's a good area not to be in.

Thank you all for replys. Couldn’t remember the website so haven’t been on here in a while. As far as the tornado thing, I’d ask that anywhere I go but it is close to states that tend to have lots of tornadoes. Not a fan of major storms, even though anywhere we end up moving that will be a factor.

By te NWS accounts, there seems to be a Dixie Alley in the spring each year. Had a bad one in March that killed some 24 people. Compared to the traditional tornado alley in Oklahoma, the Dixie Alley is a more populated area. One reason TN may fall off the "10 worst" list is to compare TN with Gulf states Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia. In the Farmers Almanac all 4 states are included in their Southeast Zone. Tornadoes don't follow state lines.

For people from other parts of the country for them it can be a concern if they know nothing about tornadoes. For our 2 month winter some ask about the ice & snow.
