Stonehaus Winery has a small vineyard but they buy most of their grapes from a grower in Portland, TN.

The other winery in Crossville (Chestnut Hill) has closed.

I'm sorry to say that I haven't been too impressed with Tennessee wines so far. I wish them well, and I've heard that there's a few good ones, but I haven't found one. The blackberry wine made at Beachaven in Clarksville is interesting for a novelty wine.

I recently purchased some wine from the Highland Manor winery near Jamestown, north of Crossville and thought it rather pleasant. They have their own on site vineyard as well as tours of their facilities on premise.

Highland Manor Winery

Almost forgot, it is supposedly the oldest winery in the great state of Tennessee.

I like the one Merlot from the Gatlinburg winery but all the others I have tried thus far from TN wineries (by far not all of them) which have been several I have found to be VERY sweet, even the Chardonnays and Merlots which I feel should be dry. I love my wine and can call myself a bit of a wine snob LOL!.

Tri-star winery outside of Shelbyville has some good berry and fruit wines. The cherry is my favorite.

While wine is fine and whiskey is quicker, I might suggest folks try some of the regions famous hard cider. Also consider trying some Perry (cider from pears).
