Just a few pics I took this afternoon at Phipps Bend Industrial Park, near Surgoinsville in Hawkins County. I was a little surprised at how much some of the trees have already turned:

Great pictures. I like the last one the best. You can see the tops of the trees in the reflection in the water. Thanks for sharing.

I, too, love that last one. If I had the camera right now I would take a pic of the little tree across the street that is turning such pretty colors. TriDad has the camera with him right now. He'll be home later, maybe I'll remember.

18 more days and will be visiting Chattanooga. We can't wait! It's been years since we've seen the color change in person...like 18 years!

Perfect timing to see the fall turn.

Things are starting to change on the edge of the plateau, but I fear this year things may not be as pretty. Has been an extremely dry year and other than the cottonwoods going yellow, some of the others seem to be just going brown.

I think it's going to make a huge difference depending on where you live. At my house, we have seen very little rain, but there were many times where, closer to Knoxville, it rained. It also seemed like Chattanooga and the Tri-Cities received more rain, too.

So I am unhappy to report that I still don't see fall foliage, just dead leaves dropping off.

Nice pictures, though!
