What's the deal with North Syracuse? (Clay, Cicero: real estate, low crime, houses)

Just to add, the Liverpool area/SD is very similar and is a close 3rd in terms of school district population. It also has about the same amount of residents.
Something else to add in terms of the North Syracuse area/SD is that you can find a good range of price points from say now $100k up to say $500k, maybe even a bit higher. The district runs from the city line to Oneida Lake from south to north and from the border with Madison County at Bridgeport to the east to roughly Henry Clay Boulevard/Buckley Road to the west. So, it covers a big area as well in the towns of Cicero, Salina and Clay; with the eastern half or so of the latter two towns.
Probably hasn't been discovered yet. My school bus went all over the North Syracuse area. Some really nice neighborhoods just outside the village.
Maybe a possible reason is the school district never had a super great reputation compared to other nearby suburban districts in the 1990s. Maybe that kept prices low in the area.

I think it is also that the district is just a more developed area with more housing stock at different price points due to development occurring earlier. Keep in mind that it had a regular Air Force base(Hancock AFB) in the district until 1982/1983 and had 2 high schools at one time to support the extra population until that time(Cicero HS in the current C-NS and North Syracuse HS at the current Jr. High, hence C-NS HS now for those that didn’t know). So, when the regular base closed(Air National Guard is still there), that left a relative excess of housing for years, though there has been about 50-60,000 people in the district for decades. So, that may play a part in this as well.
North Syracuse isn’t reputable like say F-M, J-D, Westhill, Skaneateles, etc., but it is still a generally good SD. Especially considering it is one of the biggest school districts in the area and maybe even in Upstate NY.
I wouldn't say that North Syracuse is a lesser school district.
You have to remember that the government runs the public schools, so they are all terrible organizations to be a part of.
If you have children, and you send them to public school, you are just not aware of what is going on in this bizarre world.
Home schooling is far more advanced, and helps children develop at a better pace because you don't have the peer pressure, and you have a less stressed out child, who can rest and do their school work at a more relaxed and comfortable environment.
