Hello,

I'm relocating to the syracuse area for work. I'm considering renting an apartment on Hawley Ave in Syracuse. Now, I've read there there has been a recent "revival." I've also read there have been murders around there.

Can anyone tell me, or suggest areas of the city that are decent/safe/trendy/within distance of city life. Any tips, advice or maps etc are welcome.

Thanks!

Murders on Hawley? What are you referring to? Where on Hawley is the apartment? I ask because it is actually a street that varies, with this area of the street seeing some investment/revitalization: Hawley-Green Neighbors

Where in the area would you be working? What is your budget? Some of these questions have to be answered in order to offer suggestions versus just throwing out places that may fit.

Just like any city of substantial size in the country, you’ll have a range of neighborhoods. Downtown has seen a lot of investment. Same with the Franklin Square/Inner Harbor area. There are others that could be mentioned, but it will depend on where you would be working.

BTW-Where in the Buffalo area would you be coming from?
