Just no and using this year as a barometer would be using a rare year even for the area.

As for neighborhoods, each side of the city has its range of neighborhoods in varying degrees of each. There really aren't any sketchy suburbs, but maybe an apartment building(concentration) or maybe a very small relative area.

Having snow and cold is not a rare thing in Syracuse. Are you arguing my point? You must not be from around here?

Not for 6 months of the year. High average snowfall totals, sure. That even varies within the area.

Maybe if you are from say Orwell in Oswego County it snows for 6 months of the year and I’m not sure if that is the case.

You may have snow occasionally in April(still quite rare) and people may bring up the very rare flurries they saw on Mother’s Day about 15 years ago. Perhaps slush on Halloween(still rare). I would expect snow from around/after Thanksgiving to about early-mid March.

So am I. No need to fib.

You still get seasons and weather preferences can vary.

I’m not even sure if the OP is still looking anyway.

Generally speaking if you ask anyone over/under 50 your gonna get two different answers.

Under 50-its was a bad Winter. A fluke. Weird. Rare.

Over 50-It was Winter.

Weather moves in patterns and it often causes migration patterns to change. From potato famines to gentrification weather changes people.

This winter may have show a return to normal weather for NY. Which will change migration again if it cntinues.

Or not. Weather is just a guess.
