My parents used them to buy hemlock beams from, when building their home in Pompey, and they ASKED to come back up when they brought a crane in to put it all together. Daddy chiseled our the mortis-and-tenon cuts all winter and, as requested, we invited them back up for the raising.
I can ask if they still have the contact information but I'm not sure how big a job needs to be for them to come up. ??
I think that most or all of the folks you see at the regional market may be Mennonite but am not certain. There is a sizable Mennonite community not far from Fort Drum and I think there's an Amish community near Parish.
If you're looking for good, dedicated work, there are also sizeable Bosnian and Somali immigrant communities in town.
