I was checking out schools on greatschools.net and schooldigger.com just to keep up with what's happening in the area. As I was looking at the Skaneateles data I noticed the high school student population was around 50% Hispanic and 40 something % White. Is this true? I don't remember it being this way when I moved 4 years ago. Please believe me - I am not prejudiced against any race. I'm just surprised - Skaneateles would not have been my first guess for this kind of statistic.
How are things in Skaneateles, btw? If I ever get back to NY, that's one place I would like to live.
I figured this was a misprint but you never know. My husband and son are in Syracuse this week for the Syracuse Nationals and drove around Skaneateles this morning looking at real estate. This is what got me looking and comparing the local schools. We both love Skaneateles and won't rule out moving there some day.
